  • Necessarily take a mid-snack else problem of gastric and migraine can cause grave health issues. Eating boiled potato with salt whenever one has migraine can immediately (half-an-hour) give relief.

 

  • Green tea only 50 ml works like magic for water retention, puffiness in eyes, antioxidants but never for weight loss.

One can have 50 ml green tea after half an hour of the dinner.

  • Dinner should be light and always before sunset since morning time is good for digestion but at night the body forces itself to digest.

Instead of feeling frustrated, here is what you can do: use eggshells — small pieces — and put it inside the flask. Next, pour some hot water inside, close the lid and shake really well. In no time, your flask will begin to look new.

Cleaning silver: It is believed that hardboiled egg yolks can act as de-oxidiser for your silver jewellery. All you need to do is break the egg yolks in a container and spread some paper over them. Now keep the jewellery so as to avoid direct contact. Cover the container and let the contents rest for a day. When you take them out, wash the jewellery with soap to eliminate the smell

Why Is If Good For You?

Our ancestors didn’t have constant food available to them like most of us do today. Nor did they have as many foods to choose from and certainly no processed or junk foods.

Our body is designed for intermittent periods of fasting. IF is becoming more popular in the medical world as fasting helps reduce insulin levels which is an excess of the hormone. Insulin can lead to obesity. Also, high insulin levels generate inflammation. Thus, reduction of insulin and subsequently inflammation is one of the main reasons as to why IF is beneficial for health and weight loss.

Reducing your insulin levels is very good for your body. It takes 12 hours of not eating for the body to rid of all the glycogen (excess stored sugar) in the liver. When we sleep we don’t eat, thus, we are fasting – a 12-16-hour fast is simple.

You can opt for whichever IF protocol works best for you, but the two we find easiest are:

Time-restricted Feeding (Phase 1 of The What IF Plan): This involves eating within an eight hour window that suits you and fasting overnight. You can fast the 16 hour-overnight period and part of the morning or you can eat earlier in the morning say 9am and fast till, say, 5pm.

Alternate Day Fasting (Phase 2 of The What IF Plan): This involves consuming 500-700 calories (women) and 600-800 calories (men) on alternate days for one week. The other days where you aren’t fasting, you can eat the portions that feel right for you. Just eat with mindfulness!
