Self-Made

Juhi Niraj Krisnani has been creative since childhood. She has been doing creative drawings and paintings. She pursued fashion designing from the time she was at college.

She was ambitious like many other entrepreneurs. “I wished to carve a niche for myself when was in my 20s. However, that dream got shattered temporarily after I got married,” she rues.

Juhi was married into a business family. And as it happens generally in such families, she feels, a daughter-in-law is not allowed to work. Her dreams appeared to be crashing before my eyes.

But she was not the one to give up. Her passion and the fire in her drove her to try and convince her in-laws. In the end, she was successful.

Ten years after marriage, Juhi again got into designing and started her own venture. “Actually, I do not consider my problems as stop signs. To me, they are guidelines to surmount the hurdles,” she proudly says.
Subsequently, the main problem she faced was of acquiring practical knowledge of business. “I can now say with my experience that it is very easy to start a business but it is quite difficult to handle it. But I overcame it all. And now I am running a big store,” she reveals.

Juhi Niraj Krisnani has words full of praises for her husband who supported her the most. He took care of each and every single problem she faced. Though her in-laws had reservations initially, but even they came around to back her after her sweet little success. “They supported me as strongly as they do to a male member of the family,” she said.

Juhi pursued her dreams to turn them into a reality. That was the turning point of her life. She thanks her family and friends who trusted her.

Her life mantra is that achievement is like a never ending process. “Every one of us is hungry to get more in our life,” she says.

Juhi believes that her greatest achievement at this point of her life would be carving her children’s future. Besides designing clothes, she also designs most for the goals of her children. “I have helped them to achieve what they want in their lives,” she says proudly and with satisfaction.

It reminds Juhi of her own childhood when she was passionate about her goals, whether small or big. Her passion is as strong now as it was during her childhood. “I just want to achieve what I want. Slowly and steadily I am trying to make this world realise about my drive,” she says.

Her workaholic nature makes her believe that she is her own role model. “Whatever I have achieved today was after starting it alone,” she says.

Her advice for the budding and aspiring fashion designers is to do everything passionately. “Never give up. Believe that you can fulfil your dream. This would make you reach halfway through your goal,” Juhi says.
